Classes & Special Activities
Above: Youngsters learn how to play Dungeons & Dragons during a Gaming 101 class
You’ll learn hands-on how to play different games in the activities below. Games vary and include tabletop miniatures, wargames, card-based games, and some board games.
Dates: Available on any day
Facilitator: Den Master Joe (or a knowledgeable DENizen)
Limit: 2 people
Skill Level: Beginner
Ages: 12 (with an adult) and up
Register: Call, email, or use our contact form to schedule a demo appointment
Suggested Supplies: Your own set of miniatures or copy of the game if you already own one (but we supply the game pieces for the demos)
You can “test drive” a game before buying it! Schedule a free demo session with Joe for one of our select tabletop games to learn the ropes and get a feel for how to play the game. You’ll also learn about the different miniatures (or expansions) you can use.
This is ideal for beginners and anyone who is interested in starting a different gaming venture. Come in by yourself, or bring a friend or family member and learn together! Please note, demos can take up to 2 hours, depending on the game, so plan accordingly.
Game demo selections include:

The “Lass & Lady Gamers” is a gaming group created for women to get together regularly and enjoy tabletop gaming in a no-pressure environment. It’s ideal for those who want to learn and/or try different types of tabletop games, or for anyone who just wants to have monthly fun with a new group of people.
Game days are on the second Saturday each month, from 12-3pm. We focus primarily on board games, role-playing games, and card-based games
ODD MONTHS: During the odd months (Jan, Mar, May, July, Sept, Nov), we meet for general board gaming. You’re encouraged to bring a game if you’d like. If there is a larger number of ladies present, we can break up into smaller groups.
EVEN MONTHS: During the even months (Feb, Apr, June, Aug, Oct, Dec), gaming is centered around a theme and may involve an added twist, social element, or even a fun fieldtrip. Sign-ups are required for these events.
